Dear Schoolteacher,

It’s that time of year again for our staff to “tickle” your student’s
brains with practical information about the farm! As a teacher and
group leader, you undoubtedly look for fresh new ideas for you and
your group to experience together. Why not learn with an educational
and hands-on excursion to Walden Farm? We’re confident you will
find a trip to Walden Farm a memorable outing for you and your
group.

Walden Farm is a family farm that offers opportunities to
showcase the best of local rural farm life. We have many
opportunities for learning about agriculture, farm animals and how
life was on the farm in years past. The children will be going on a
hayride, interact with farm animals, enjoy straw and corn mazes, and
many other hands-on activities. Most important they will see how
pumpkins are grown and lots of other things that make the fall so
special.

We offer three different time opportunities for tours on
Monday – Friday:

   9:00 till 10:30

  10:30 till 12:00

    12:00 till 1:30

The field trip price is $6.00 per student.
Two teachers per class are free
Parents, siblings and other guests pay $6.00 each

We have facilities for you to bring your own snack lunches and
have lunch on the farm. The picnic area will be available for 30-40
minutes after your tour time. No children are allowed to return back
to the activity area after your tour has ended, so as not to interfere
with the next scheduled group.

We hope you and your group will enjoy a fun-filled morning and
“Experience the Farm!”

For questions or reservations, please call (615) 220-2918.

These time slots fill up quickly, so please call early!

We look forward to seeing you at harvest time!

Sincerely,

Walden Farm
